Sunday Reflection for September 27

“Again, we return to the theme of humility. While we are so busy trying to look for God in the lofty heights, we often miss God in our midst in the homeless, the hungry, the lost, and the forgotten. And if we’re too proud and absorbed by our own ambitions, we will likely not hear God speaking to us. If we are to live as Christ in the world, we must ground ourselves in reality and be present to the most marginalized and vulnerable of society.”

Join Us Sunday!

Join us Sunday either in person at 8:00 or 10:00 or from home by visiting our new live-stream service at 10:00 a.m. for our celebrations of the Eucharist! Whether you can join us in person or by live-stream, know we are glad to have you with us. And invite your friends to share in our worship!

This week we welcome Bishop Jenny Andison as preacher and celebrate a baptism and confirmations at our 10:00 liturgy. Come and support our newest members in the church, Duncan and Nicholas, as they receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these sacraments. It is a great honour for us to celebrate this occasion with our area bishop.

Volunteer with CAFFI! Cedar Mains Fall Yard Work

Our friends at CAFFI (Caledon Area Families For Inclusion) are seeking volunteers to help out with their fall yard work at their new Cedar Mains house. Patricia Franks is organizing the day; you can email her to schedule a time to help out. Please note, all the work will be outside and not in the house.

Fall Preaching Series

Last Sunday we launched a multi-week preaching series on St. Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. Although written nearly 2,000 years ago, the letter continues to offer insight into how we as Christians are called to live in the world. Fr. Don will explore short passages with us and offer questions for reflection to help you further consider the implications of the letter as you continue to grow as a disciple of Jesus. Join us Sunday to learn more!
