The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday

Join us for Palm Sunday at Christ Church Bolton for a beautiful service that includes the distribution of palm leaves as a symbol of peace and triumph.

Following the 10 am service, Bolton United Church will be joining us as we make our way through the streets, waving our palms and sharing the joy of this meaningful tradition. We encourage everyone to bring their friends and family, and don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes!

12 NOON – (SPY WEDNESDAY) EUCHARIST WITH PRAYERS OF HEALING
It is a day of reflection on themes of betrayal, sin, and redemption. The name “Spy” suggests Judas’ secret dealings with the religious authorities in exchange for thirty pieces of silver.

MAUNDY THURSDAY

6:00 PM – SIMPLE MEAL
7:00 PM – EUCHARIST AND FOOT WASHING
This service is a meaningful and sobering prelude to the Easter weekend. We will focus on the Lord’s Supper and what happened the night before Jesus was crucified. A somber time to remind us of what it cost God to save us.

The Great Vigil of Resurrection, marks the culmination of the Holy Saturday before Easter Sunday. It is a profound and multisensory experience that embodies the transition from darkness to light, symbolizing the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the victory over sin and death.
