A few years ago the Archbishop of Canterbury, ++Justin Welby, launched an annual period of prayer in preparation for the great feast of Pentecost. Known as Thy Kingdom Come, the nine-day period of prayer begins on the Feast of the Ascension of Jesus (Thursday, May 21) and ends on the Feast of Pentecost (May 31). The purpose of the prayer is for a renewal of the Christian Church and an expression of desire that all may come to know of the new life as encountered in Jesus Christ. Since it began, Thy Kingdom Come, has now become an ecumenical prayer event, drawing Christians of all expressions into one.
We invite to join with us in praying each day for the renewal of the Church and for all to come to know Jesus Christ. Below are a selection of resources available to you to help you enter into this prayer experience. Please note: we will be updating this page over the coming days and adding additional resources.
